Calder's notes
Strong short entry on the North side of the North East spandrel extending well into the North West spandrel and wider than the one in Position No. 43; faint short entry North East of the South East "7"; main position dot is oval and South West clearly South centre nearly full or full towards West.
Kershaw's notes
The short transfer is strong and extensive across the top of the stamp, with a small faint short transfer LR adjacent to the frame.
Morel's notes
Short transfer at top, from stg up to right frame, and small short transfer right of the 7 from lower right 17. Travelling dot behind head and oval dot full, at 4 o'clok, below center line.

Stamps from printing orders 1 to 5A were perf. 11.75, stamps from printing orders 5B to 7 were perf. 12 x 11.75 and those from printing orders 8 to 12 were perf. 12.
